Califf Harper provides smart, innovative, personalized services to individuals and business, including corporate clients, public entities, manufacturers and financial institutions located in and around the Quad Cities region, as well as Chicago and its suburbs. Our attorneys practice before the State and Federal Courts in Illinois and Iowa, the National Labor Relations Board, the Internal Revenue Service and other governmental agencies.
Firm History
Califf Harper has been meeting the legal needs of the Quad Cities area in Illinois and Iowa for more than 140 years (presently operating as an Illinois professional corporation — Califf & Harper, P.C. — with the assumed name of “Califf Harper”). We were founded in 1870 as Kenworthy & Beardsley in Rock Island, Illinois. The firm has been based and expanded at its present location in Moline, Illinois since 1918. The firm also established an office in Wheaton, Illinois, in 2003, and moved that office to Naperville, Illinois, in 2010, to meet the needs of the law firm’s clients based in Chicago and its suburbs.
Community Involvement
Califf Harper has a long history of community involvement within the States of Iowa and Illinois. In addition to being members of and serving various bar associations, many of the firm’s attorneys hold leadership positions in local civic and charitable organizations. Attorneys also support various organizations as volunteers or members. The firm believes in giving back to the community and helping to make the community a better place in which to live and work.
